Letter, 2 Dec. 1837, re nomination of James Henley Thornwell for the chair of Logic and Belles Lettres; letter, 4 May 1842, re fire hazards on the campus; letter, 7 Dec. 1842 re abolition of law requiring attendance of faculty member at student meals; letter, 29 Nov. 1843, re adjournment of college following outbreak of disease in Columbia in which four students died and reestablishment of tutorships; letter, 8 May 1844, re dismissal of students following disciplinary action.
